Yves Rocher is a Cosmetic and Beauty Brand founded in 1959 by the French Entrepreneur Yves Rocher in La Gacilly. This Company is now present in 88 countries.
Recently this brand came to India as this wasn't available before and there are few websites who have started carrying this brand which is quite exciting. It's really good to see International Brands hitting Indian Market.
It is a well known brand hence i always wanted to try it but since it wasn't available here i couldn't and when i saw that it's now available at various Indian websites i decided that i am gonna grab something.
I have heard so much about Micellar waters especially the much raved and loved Bioderma sensible H2O which i never tried because of simple reason that i have heard micellar waters can be little drying if you have dry skin which obviously i have.
So when i saw this Hydrating Micellar water 2 in 1 online i was completely sold.Anything which says Hydrating, is definitely for me.
Sometimes Micellar waters can be really harsh on the skin but this one is exactly what is says.Although it says it's hydrating it doesn't feel heavy or oily on the skin,also it doesn't leave a oily residue on the skin.
This product can be used as a skincare product or a Makeup remover,according to the brand you can use it day and night as a cleanser to remove all the dirt and impurities from your face or you can only use it just to remove your makeup.I use it as a Makeup Remover.
As you can see in the above pictures,i tried to remove a liquid lipstick with it,although i was quite successful in removing the product but i had to rub a lot harder than usual,And you all know that eyes and lips are a very sensitive area of our face we cannot rub them too hard otherwise we will definitely hurt our self.
Especially for eyes and lips we should use a makeup remover which can break down all the waterproof makeup and stubborn liquid lipsticks gently and effortlessly,however this works great with the non waterproof makeup and removes it very gently.This can be a great makeup remover for the days when you are not wearing heavy duty makeup.
This one works great for my mum since it's very gentle and doesn't burn or sting the eyes if applied gently also she doesn't wear waterproof makeup so it's perfect for her.
Little story i have for you guys,one day when my mum came from party she cleansed her face thoroughly and i took few drops on a cotton pad and gave it to her,her reply for i have just cleansed my face then why this? I replied use it no and she was shocked to see so much makeup on the cotton pad.
These Micellar water works great as your second cleanser,but do not expect it to remove heavy duty makeup,for that i go with my trustworthy Maybelline Clean Express Total Clean Makeup remover.
As you can tell by the picture even after rubbing quite hard the last traces of the liquid lipstick remained there but i tried and rubbed more and it got removed.One more thing i would like to add is that it feels like water on the skin,doesn't feel oily or greasy even after removing all the makeup it doesn't feel like you have applied anything which is a good thing according to me.

I really like the packaging of it,very classy yet simple.It comes in a tinted plastic bottle,the liquid is clear and the bottle is also transparent with a slight tint of aqua which feels really soothing.All the detail are written on back.It has a flip top cap which is quite sturdy,feels quite secure.

DeleteI have never tried this micellar water but if it is necessary to rub in order to remove makeup this micellar water is not good for me. Removing eye makeup can be a problem then. Thank you for this honest review.
