Welcome back to The girls korner.Today i am gonna talk about the other stuff which my sis got for me from Canada..If u have read my earlier post you guys would know about the story behind these purchases ..:)
Let's get straight to the product review..
Today i am gonna talk about the other eye shadows duos which i got along with my previously talked eys shadow quad and these are Maybelline's baked eye shadow duo..so i got three from this range.They have many other shades as well but the ones i picked were Sinful sinnamon 80,Carbon frost 05,Mocha mirage 40.
Starting with a packaging ,the baked eye shadows come in a sturdy plastic square packaging which is very much travel friendly.You will not get the applicator with these eye shadows like the last one which i showed you in my previous post.If you want you can see.Here
As the name says these are baked eye shadows duos like Mac's mineralize eye shadow,one side is solid while the other is marbleized.These shadows have smooth texture and high frosty finish with high pigmentation.The baked shadows supposed to work well wet,but these eye shadows works well both wet and dry.I normally like to use it wet ,because they are very much shimmery and they can give u fall outs when applied dry.Whether you apply wet or dry you will notice there is not much difference in the pigmentation you will get,with that being said it does intensifies the pigmentation a little more but not much.Somehow i feel that in each duo which i got every marbleized shade show up almost same cuz they are in the same color family pink,beige and bronze all look same when applied side by side,i will upload swatches as well so u can see how they look side by side.These are very shimmery and if you don't want a shimmery face avoid this guy using dry ,and use it wet instead or with a primer base .These are best applied with fingers but it totally depends on you whatever you feel like and comfortable with do that way.You can apply it with finger and then blend with a help of brush if need be.So let's talk about the individual shades i got :)
Sinful sinnamon80-Sinful sinnamon is a duo with two pretty shades,the solid side is a rusted reddish orange with a frosty finish and the other side is marbleized pinky beige with a white frosty finish.This is a beautiful duo and pretty wearable as well and i really like the reddish orange shade of this duo.These shadows can be applied dry or wet but for applying dry you need to be very careful otherwise you will end up with a shimmery face.You can use a primer underneath to make the color pop a bit more,these duos doesn't have glitter in them but these are highly shimmery specially the marbleized part of it.Some duos contain shimmer in both sides but in this one only the marbleized side of it is shimmery whereas the other is just have a frosty finish in it.This duo offers shimmery and glistening look which is wonderful and appropriate for any festive or wedding occasions.The reddish orange color with a frosty finish is a very versatile shade which can be used as all over lid color or as a crease shade.This is what i feel but as per your choice you can play with it.

Carbon frost 05 -Carbon frost is a duo which has a shimmery black one side and the other half is a blend of pink and beige with having veins of bronze and golden running on it.The pigmentation of this duo is quite impressive specially the black side which has shimmer in it.This duo is having shimmer in both the sides .The people who are smokey eye addict can attain a smokey eye look with this duo because it is having a prefect black shade which is great for that smokey look.The darker shade which is black is again a versatile shade which can be used as many different ways.you can use it for creating a lash line and then smoke it out a little or can be used in crease or you can use it for the outer V of ur eye,or if you are a kinda daring person u can use it all over the lid as well.So it's your call,completely depends on your choice, mood and comfort.

Mocha mirage 40-Mocha mirage is again a pretty duo with a satiny medium brownish gold and marbleized medley of gold and frosty pink.Both colors are reasonably pigmented and smooth when applied,again a perfect duo for any festive occasions cuz who doesn't like golds and pinks.Colors in this are extremely wearable for almost all skin tones.If you are in golds and pinks like me,this duo won't disappoint you.

Pros-
- Wide color selection
- Not chalky
- Smooth finish and soft creamy texture when applied
- worn with a primer will stay put for half a day
- Excellent price point ,you can get much cheaper in sale anyways
- Wearable shades for almost all skin tones
Cons-
- Very shimmery,can give you fall outs
- All marbleized shades look pretty much same, i wish there would be a diffrence
There are not much things which i dun like so you can judge by this that i quite like this product.Wanna try few more colorful shades ..
