Texture

The name Black Magic is itself self explanatory because it's an activated charcoal mask and if you don't already know Activated charcoal works really well on skin,it helps in removing blackheads/whiteheads, dead skin and the dirt and gunk present in the pores.I already have an activated charcoal face wash by a brand called biore and it's not available here in India,so this mask is a good alternative for that since both are black gel based products, the only major difference is that since the biore one is a face wash it lathers up and the mask doesn't and that's completely ok since it is meant to be like that and it's a gel mask. They both smell quite similar because of the activated charcoal. Both have same texture but the biore face wash is just a little bit thicker.

My Experience and Thoughts

I have used this mask multiple times and every time i noticed that this mask doesn't dry down completely, even after 10-15 minutes you will feel that it is quite sticky and wet.Since it is a gel based mask do not expect it to dry down completely like the clay masks does.

Aroma Essentials Black Magic Mask Review

This mask comes in two different variant one is a Clay based mask and the other is a Gel based mask ,they have two variants according to the season so i got the gel one because they have the gel ones for summer and the clay ones for winters.I really wanna try the clay one as well.

Since it has activated charcoal in it ,it can irritate your skin initially if you have sensitive skin so be sure to do a patch test before using it,though i haven't faced any issue till now.

It is a light gel based mask which is great for the days when you don't wanna use heavy duty masks on your face ,since clay masks can be little heavy in summer time. I have noticed that clay masks make me sweat on the nose and upper lip area which i don't like at all and if you are like me you can definitely give this mask a try.One thing i really like about this mask is that it does'nt dry out the skin, even after washing the face your skin does'nt feel strechy or dry so it is good for dry skin people.

This is a good mask but do not expect a significant difference in your skin after using it, i haven't noticed any difference into my skin. The only thing i feel it does is that it it freshens up the skin without drying it out.
