L'Oreal Base Magique Primer Review & Pictures

Hey everyone today i have a review post on a primer which i have never done on my blog before so it's my first post on a face primer,so today i am going to talk about the L'Oreal Base Magique which is definitely not a new product but new in my vanity.
I wanted to try a base primer for so long but i was very skeptical about buying one since i don't have oily skin ,most of the time it's dry so i thought i don't need primer,but primer not only helps controlling the oil but it also helps in reducing the appearance of pores and gives your face a smooth and even surface for the foundation to glide on easily on top of it.
I was very iffy whether or not i should get this primer because of the price point,it's not an affordable primer and i would not suggest you to buy this on full price,you can grab it on discount easily because L'Oreal products are on discount most of the time,so wait for the discount and then pick it up.
Packaging
Firstly let's talk about the packaging,this primer comes in a see through glass jar with a plastic black cap on it and when you unscrew you can see the product inside.Since it's a screw top so it's quite sturdy and closes tightly.I like that it's cute and small but at the same time it's glass so it can break easily if it drops from a certain height.Another thing which i did not like about the packaging is ,that it's a tub/jar packaging so everytime you wanna use it you need to dip your finger in the jar in order to take the product out and it is something which is not at all hygienic since we tend to have a lot of bacterias in our hands so whenever we are dipping finger in it,we are actually putting bacterias in it and which can lead to a lot of problems and none of us want that.So if you wanna avoid that what you can do is keep a small tiny spoon to scoop the product out from the jar and keep the spoon clean as well.

Texture
Texture of this primer is very smooth and it has a thick mousse like consistency,the primer does have a slightly pink colour to it but it doesn't make your skin look white or leaves any kind of residue on the face.Once you have the primer on the skin feels smooth as it claims.The texture feels very siliconi and has a demi matte finish,once you apply it on your face it turns into a powdery matte finish and takes away all the sheen and shine from the skin.The thing i feel with this primer is that since it has a demi matte finish it feels little drying if you have dry skin.The primer doesn't feel oily or greasy at all so for oily people it is a very good primer but for people like me who have dry skin they will need a good moisturizer underneath this primer so that after applying the foundation the skin does not feel drying because it is a very mattifying primer.

I don't have large pores but i feel that it definitely reduces the appearance of pores because i feel my skin was looking more even on the side i had used this primer than the other side,even though this primer has a thick consistency it doesn't feel heavy on the skin. It is very good in holding your makeup in place,i used it for around 5-6 hours and it did hold quite well.Once you have this primer on you will notice that the foundation glides on easily and effortlessly and stays in place for a longer period of time.

Overall Thought
Overall i am quite happy with this primer,it's a good primer which is easily available in India.The few things i don't like is that it comes in a jar form so you need to use a spatula or a small spoon to scoop out the product because it is very necessary to maintain the hygiene in your makeup products because your skin is more important than anything.Another thing i feel is if you have dry skin make sure you are using any hydrating moisturizer underneath it because it's a mattifying primer and if you have dry skin it can make your skin look more dry after putting the foundation on.Although this primer is very nice but it is expensive so make sure you buy it when it's on discount.
