Revlon India Colorburst Matte Balm Sultry Review & Swatches

Welcome to The girls korner.First of all i didn't intend to do this review as its a old product and many bloggers have already done reviews and talked about it already,but a sweet follower on my Instagram asked me to review it after seeing my pic,so here i am doing it :)
So let's begin with the review of this product.There is a matte trend going on lately so every brand is coming up with their matte products whether it is a lipstick,chubby stick or a liquid lipstick.Many brands had this chubby stick type lipsticks already which you can twist from the bottom and products comes out from the top,Revlon had been knocking it out of the park with their last few launches and this was one of them and going with the matte trend Revlon released their chubby sticks which is called Revlon colorburst matte balms.
Revlon matte balms were released in other countries before it released in india,but i am happy at last they released it here.Revlon has launched 8 shades in India whereas in other countries they have launched 10 shades but none the less the 8 shades they launched here are all bright and fun colors and i have no complaints whatsoever,they have included all the basic colors one would want or expect with a collection.I must say the color selection is pretty good.We have got all the fun colors in this range,the 2 shades are nudes i believe which they did not release here.

Packaging-The revlon colorburst matte balm come in the usual crayon like packaging which is very travel friendly and i find that these are much easier to apply than a normal lipstick.The outer packaging is the approximate shade which you are getting inside and i really like the fact about the packaging that you can easily figure out the shade by the outer packaging,and at the bottom there is a sticker which has the name and number on it.For the product you need to twist it from the bottom and the product comes out from the top like the traditional chubby stick or crayon packaging.
Formula-The formula is little unique,it has a balmish texture,It says it is a matte balm duh :D It is super comfortable on lips cuz of its balmish(i know it is not a word hope u understand my point) texture,they go on really smooth without any tugging or drying.In this collection you will notice that each color is rich and full in pigmentation but keep in mind that it is nor a true matte neither is a velvette matte.According to me it is a glossy matte,just like a lip balm with a rich pigmentation.None of the shades have any shimmer or any glitter in them but they are not a true matte and if you are expecting it to be a true matte you will be disappointed .One more thing i wanna mention here is because it has a balmish texture it can emphasize the cracks on the lips if you have, at least the shade i got sultry does emphasize the cracks and clings on the dry patches i have,so exfoliate your lips to make it work.The shade sultry looks very different on different skin tones like if you are fair or lighter skin tone it will look more brown on you and if you are deeper skin tone or a brown girls like me,it will look more pink on you.I really liked if it would have been more deeper,but no doubt it is a very universally flattering shade and one of the most famous shade from this collection.These can last for a good 3-4 hours depending on the shade .The darker shades will last long comparatively to the lighter ones.I am a lipstick eater and being a glossy matte it stayed put on me for about 2-3 hours that's pretty good according to me.These does transfer a bit and will fade if you eat or drink.It gives you a cooling effect on lips and has a minti scent just like polo(Mint candy) .
Revlon colorburst matte balm Sultry-Sultry is a dusty pink with plum undertones as people say but according to me it is a muted pink,i searched for swatches before buying it and believe me or not but in every pic it was looking very deep like the outer packaging but its not it is lighter than the outer packaging,It looks like it has hint of plum but for me it's not,it turned out pink for me even on the hand swatch.

As you can see its showing up more of a muted pink then a brownish plum shade which its suppose to.
Overall thoughts -It is definitely a good product,at least try and pick shade which u feel like is for you.A very unique formula and a must have in everyone's collection.I do think that it is very pricey for the amount of product you are getting and being a drugstore product .I would suggest to get these in sale..Almost every website is having sale these days and you can get them a lot cheaper.
