Rimmel London, Apocalips Lip Lacquer Galaxy India ,Swatches & Review

Hello lovelies,welcome back to The girls korner, today i will do a quick review on the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Galaxy.Its not a new launch,Rimmel has launched this lip lacquer some time back and they are called Apocalips over the UK and here in INDIA as well whereas in US these called Rimmel show off I wanted to try these since ages but i couldn't get my hands on these cuz Rimmel products are hard to find here even online,but now these are easily available.So last month finally i got my hands on it.It was a sale going on that time on a online website and i thought this is the time but by the time i came to know about the website having these babies in stock these were already sold out at least all the bright and fun colors and only the dull neutral shades were left.So i decided to pick this one up cuz others were not very much appealing to me,i could get only one and and i wanted to pick more shades and i am glad i didn't pick and the reason behind i'll tell you in a bit.Keep reading :)
Packaging-These come in a very unique packaging these have a really cool black top almost like a uncut stone on it and the bottom is a shiny black plastic which kind of fades into the actual color of the lip product.The color at the bottom is similar to the actual lip product inside,so u are getting a very accurate representation of what its gonna look like on your lips.It has the number and name written on the sticker with the bar code and if you wish to remove the sticker ,the name isn't written any where else.It comes with a traditional doe foot applicator and its got kind of a scoop on the inside of it which is nice cuz i found that it holds a lot more product in side and you dun need to keep dipping the wand back into the product.One dip into the product gives you one nice application on your lips. I really like the fact that they have done a unique thing in the packaging,there is chamber in between the top and bottom part which comes clear when the product is new and once you pull out the wand for the first time the chamber fills with the product and that's how you are gonna know that someone has opened the product before or not.
Formula-These are called lip lacquers so these are suppose to be a liquid lipstick.These are completely full coverage and extremely opaque on lips.Basically these are rich in pigmentation like a lipstick and creamy like a gloss but not super glossy.These come in two different finishes one is creamy finish and the other is shimmery finish.These go on feeling very light weight and doesn't feel heavy or tacky or sticky on your lips.These are not transfer proof and the brand doesn't claim it to be long wearing product and that's the real thing these are like a insanely pigmented gloss and being a gloss these are not long wearing at all,after a while you will notice the gloss kind of fades but with that being said these don't dry out your lips and the darker shades do tend to stain your lips and fades off very evenly.This product is little tricky to apply because of its pigmentation, hence you would definitely feel a need of a lip liner specially with the darker shades cuz they can get messy easily.These can last 4-5 hour depending on the shade and on the food you would be having through out the day.One annoying thing about this product is the scent of it,i completely hate it.When i applied first i really liked the color and the formula but the scent ohh gosh can't stand the weird chemically and plasticky smell and i don't like the product just because of the smell,otherwise the product is really good and the color too.
Galaxy- Galaxy is a purplish grapey kind of a neutral shade which has more purple in it..It is a very flattering shade for medium to deeper skin tone girls.This one is in shimmer finish,you can see the shimmer in them and after the color fades off you can totally see the shimmer particles on your lips which you would need to remove with a make up remover.

- Shimmery shade can make your lips very shimmery after the color wears off

- Not long wearing
P.S-For a lip swatch i had to apply it and after removing it, i am feeling sick in my stomach :(
What i think about this product -As you guys already can judge by now that i can't stand the smell and if you guys are not smell sensitive go ahead it is a very good product but for those who are smell sensitive better pass it off. :)
